MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships: Public Participation in Science, Technology and Medicine

Dear colleagues,

Universities of Maastricht (the Netherlands), Aachen (Germany) and Liege (Belgium) invite researchers to jointly prepare applications for Marie Skłodowska-Curie (MSCA) Postdoctoral fellowships. As an interuniversity Public Participation Research Platform, we welcome applicants interested in studying diverse forms of public participation in formulating and addressing matters of shared concern. All three universities are conveniently situated within a one-hour drive from each other and bring together a vibrant network of researchers involved in studying public participation in various fields of science, technology, and medicine. Each MSCA Postdoctoral fellow will be hosted by one of the three universities depending on their specific research topic, while the other two universities will provide additional support and advice. In this way, the fellows will benefit from the unique cross-border research infrastructure of the Platform; regular workshop and lecture series on public participation in science, technology, and medicine; policy and outreach events; joined writing retreats; grant application support teams; and, most importantly, welcoming, diverse, and committed colleagues. More details and specific research areas open for candidates can be found here: https://euraxess.ec.europa.eu/jobs/88416

Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral fellowships are intended for researchers within 8 years from the date of the award of their PhD degree. The next call for applications will be open on 12 April 2023. Interested researchers develop an application jointly with a host organisation of their choice. Host organisation then submits the application. More information on Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral fellowships can be found here: https://marie-sklodowska-curie-actions.ec.europa.eu/actions/postdoctoral-fellowships

Researchers interested in submitting a joint proposal for MSCA Postdoctoral fellowship with us are invited to send an email by 15 May 2023 to one of the three potential supervisors depending on a research area closest to their interests (see contacts here: https://euraxess.ec.europa.eu/jobs/88416). The e-mail should include a CV and a brief outline of the proposed research project. When there is a good match between the candidates and supervisors, candidates will apply for MSCA Postdoctoral fellowships 2023 with one of the Platform research centres as a host institution. They will receive feedback on their proposal and support in finalising their applications.

Please forward this call to those who might be interested.

Best regards,
