Registration open: Conference “Digital Futures in the Making” (14-16 September 2022, University of Hamburg)

                Dear colleagues,



We would like to kindly invite you to participate at the 8th International
Working Conference of the Digital Anthropology Commission of the German
Society for Cultural Anthropology and Folklore Studies (DGEKW). The conference
"Digital Futures in the Making: Imaginaries, Politics, and Materialities" will
be held on-site at the Institute from 15 to 16 September 2022, with a
pre-conference day on 14 September 2022 scheduled for experimental workshops
and studios on digital tools and collaborative ethnographic research.

challenges in scholarly communication:

 Ethical digital futures (digital research and data ethics, envisioning the
futures of work, etc.)

 Digital infrastructuring and materialities

 Digitalization of cultural heritage and heritagization of digital culture

 Data politics within and beyond the pandemic

 Human-computer interaction in AI and beyond

 Sustainability, equality, and participation in digital futures
