                Open PhD/Postdoctoral position(s) at HumTec RWTH Aachen University


The Human Technology Center
(HumTec) at RWTH Aachen
University is looking for either two PhD candidates or one Postdoctoral
researcher (3 years) to study the innovation ecosystems emerging around the
development of neuromorphic computing hardware for AI applications
(NeuroSys) and
products, services, processes and social innovations related to bioeconomy
(Begleitforschung zur Modellregion Biokonomie im Rheinischen
Revier) in the Aachen-region. In collaboration with
stakeholders from science, engineering, business and industry, PhD candidates
or a Postdoctoral researcher will draw on approaches from Science & Technology
Studies, Technology Assessment, Anticipatory Governance and Responsible
Innovation to analyze conditions and develop strategies for responsible
innovation ecosystem governance. The position(s) provide(s) opportunities to
gain methodological expertise in transdisciplinary collaboration, in
particular socio-technical integration research, scenario-building workshops
and engaged ethnography. German language skills are desirable.
