CfP Embodying Climate Change Workshop

Dear EASST Eurograd members,

I would like to invite you to apply to the 'Embodying Climate Change' workshop we are organizing in 20th to the 23rd of September in Poznan, Poland.

This workshop aims to focus on how climate change unequally affects our minds and bodies in different parts of the world, whether it is a positive or a negative experience. It asks how we can possibly see, touch, smell, hear or feel it and what influences it. We invite interdisciplinary contributions that study how people experience climate change daily and how they make or do not make sense of it. We welcome submissions that focus on varied aspects of global and local environmental change, that might include but do not have to be limited to how people adapt to or rebel against pollution, heat, draughts, fires, floods, raising water levels, the loss of biodiversity, anxiety and depression, migration. The aim of this two-day workshop is to offer participants the opportunity to think critically about what it means to embody climate change and how to communicate this to different kinds of academic and non-academic audiences.

More information attached and here: https://www.emclic.com/cfp-embodying-climate-change-workshop/.

Please send your abstracts (300 words) and your bios (150 words) to embodyingclimatechange@gmail.com by Friday, 31st of March 2023.

All the best,

Paloma Yez Serrano
